YOUR INFORMATION
How we intend to handle information on the RAVE IQ website and app.
RAVE IQ is publicly accessible. This notice is reviewed as platform services change.
RAVE IQ is a project of Tortuga Creations Pty Ltd, based in South Australia. For privacy questions, contact operations@raveiq.com.au.
When you browse, the app's hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as requests, approximate network location, device/browser information and security logs. If you contact us by email, we receive the contact details and content you choose to send.
Artists may voluntarily email names, their genres, biographies, performance information and music/portfolio links for consideration. Information is reviewed before any public artist profile is approved. Emailing us does not automatically publish the material.
RAVE IQ offers a voluntary newsletter signup. If you enter your email address and actively tick the consent box, the address is sent to Mailchimp, our mailing-list provider, to request email confirmation. You must complete that confirmation before joining. Mailchimp also handles email preferences and unsubscribe requests. We have tested signup, confirmation and unsubscribe using an owner-controlled address; this does not establish marketing consent for imported contacts.
To limit automated signups, the platform maintains cryptographic rate-limit digests associated with an email address and network information, together with counters and time windows. The throttling database does not retain raw email addresses or IP addresses for this purpose; records older than 48 hours are cleared during subsequent signup checks. Mailchimp separately retains mailing-list contact and preference information under its applicable privacy terms.
RAVE IQ is preparing optional, separate community member accounts. Registration collects an email address, chosen display name, a salted password hash and your acceptance of the community rules and terms. We use your email for verification, password recovery and account support, not to automatically enrol you in the marketing newsletter. Member sessions use secure browser cookies. Anti-abuse systems retain hashed rate-limit identifiers and attempt counts.
If public chat is enabled, members' display names and posted messages are visible to other signed-in members. We retain messages, moderation reports, member blocks, moderation decisions and dates needed to protect the community. Report details are for administrators, not public display. Avoid posting personal contact details. RAVE IQ administrators may hide posts or suspend or ban members for breaches of community rules. You can request access, correction or deletion of account information through the contact address below; some records may need to be retained for legitimate security or legal reasons.
Chat posts are currently disabled while launch checks are completed. Profile image uploads are not available. Verification and password-reset emails depend on configured email delivery. The team is still reviewing retention periods and third-party processing before public chat activation.
To operate, secure and troubleshoot the service; respond to messages; review artist and event information with the appropriate consent and permissions; and maintain accurate community listings. We do not treat an artist submission as authorisation to use copyrighted photography or recordings.
Our platform links to event organisers, ticket sellers, SoundCloud, Tomorrowland's official radio destination, social networks and the RAVE IQ shop. They operate under their own privacy policies. Following a link takes you away from RAVE IQ, and some external media may use their own cookies or analytics.
To request access to information held about you, ask for corrections or deletion where applicable, or make a privacy complaint, email operations@raveiq.com.au. We will investigate privacy complaints, explain our response and aim to respond within 30 days. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, subject to its complaint requirements. Access, correction and deletion requests are assessed under applicable Australian law and retention obligations.
